WHAT YOU DO WHILE AT TAUMATA MOANA FARMSTAY IS ENTIRELY UP TO YOU. OPTIONS ON THE STATION INCLUDE:

• A conducted farm tour
• Trekking the farm or coastline with some areas in native bush
• Fishing - both surf casting and by boat
• Guided hunting trips
• Clay target shooting
• Just relaxing.

Please note that hunting and fishing are only available by special arrangement and weather permitting.

Between 30 and 50 minutes of Taumata Moana Station, you will find a large range of things to do and places to see. To the north is Kawhia harbour where you can dig a hole on the sand and lie in the warm water bubbling up from underneath. South takes you to the spectacular Marakopa Falls.

Just beyond the Marakopa Falls is the Waitomo Glowworm Cave, Blackwater Rafting, Lost World adventure caving, Woodland Park ( which features a live pioneer show), the Caves Museum and many other attractions that go to make Waitomo the world famous destination that it is.
